Our Aviation Program in partnership with D14 is an accelerated training initiative providing aspiring pilots with a direct path to begin their career as a commercial pilot. The curriculum covers essential topics like aviation weather, airspace, flight planning, instrument flight, and advanced aircraft. It serves as a stepping stone to the Training Program, giving students a knowledge advantage as they progress from the LACC aviation program.
What does this class offer?
Juniors will receive in-depth knowledge of overview of Commercial, Military, and General Aviation, role of government in aviation safety, accident investigation, categories and classes of aircraft, in addition to lessons on propulsion, airframe systems and more.
Seniors cover the fundamentals of aviation weather theory and weather services, basics of airport operations, aeronautical charts and airspace, regulations, advanced aviation, and more information related to the future of aviation.
Completion of the program allows students to receive a certificate that states they are qualified to take the Private Pilot Airmen Knowledge Exam (PAR Exam). Students will be provided workforce success preparation while learning the basics of aviation.
What are the benefits of taking this program?
Students will gain fundamental knowledge of aviation, as well as build career skills and explore other aviation opportunities in the industry. Students will have received the hourly equivalent of $30,000 worth of ground instruction from a flight school. Students who complete the entirety of the program will have an advanced understanding of the fundamentals of aviation and aerospace. They will be prepared to earn their endorsements for their Private pilot and/or part 107 Remote pilot tests, which will give them a head start to flight school or a drone program.
