This Course is designed to provide students with the skills needed for a career in the fields of advertising, commercial art, graphic design & website development. Students learn to apply artistic design & layout principle along with text, graphics, drawing, rendering sound & video to develop various print, video and digital products. Students use tools of the trade and up to date software to create, manipulate, color, paint & layer scanned images, computer graphics & original artwork. Students will also use hardware & software to capture, edit, create, and compress audio & video clips. Classes will apply artistic techniques to design & create advertisements, displays, publications, technical illustrations, marketing brochures, logos, packaging, video graphics, and computer-generated media.
